“It’s been a tough season,” Guardiola said. “We cannot realistically talk about the Premier League title race when we’ve suffered such a significant dip in form. The impact of injuries and fatigue on the squad has been immense.”

Guardiola highlighted the significant number of key players who have been sidelined due to injuries, limiting his team’s options and disrupting their rhythm.

“We had seven potential starting eleven players injured, and a lot of players with heavy minutes,” he added.

Despite the adversity, Guardiola praised his team’s resilience and determination.

He emphasized the importance of staying positive and focused, even during the most difficult periods. “We take the point against Palace, it’s fine,” he said, acknowledging the hard-fought draw.

As City look to turn their season around, Guardiola will be hoping that his squad can regain their form and challenge for trophies on multiple fronts.
