Leeds United are moving forward with ambitious plans to redevelop their iconic Elland Road stadium, with the goal of significantly increasing its capacity.
Following their confirmed promotion back to the Premier League for next season, the club has unveiled concepts for the enhanced ground and begun consultations with fans and the local community.
Currently holding a capacity of 37,792, the proposed redevelopment aims to increase this to an estimated 53,000.
Furthermore, the club has longer-term aspirations to potentially expand the stadium further to 56,500 in the future, which would place Elland Road among the largest club stadiums in England.
The redevelopment plans focus on revitalizing the West and North Stands, along with making changes to the South Stand.
These upgrades will provide greatly improved general admission and hospitality facilities, aiming to meet the high demand for tickets, with a reported 26,000 supporters currently on the season ticket waiting list.
Leeds City Council has already unanimously agreed to the regeneration vision, and the pre-application for the stadium modernization will be discussed at a Plans Panel meeting on Thursday, May 8th, 2025.
The club is actively seeking input from fans and the local community through public exhibitions and consultation events throughout May.
