Munich, Germany – Reports from BILD and Kicker suggest that Bayern Munich are not expected to offer club legend Thomas Müller a new contract, with the indication being that his time at the club will come to an end at the conclusion of the current season.

Bayern Munich Expected to Part Ways with Thomas Müller

While Müller reportedly wishes to continue his long and storied career with the Bavarian giants, the current stance from within Bayern Munich is that they will not be offering him an extension.

Formal steps to communicate this decision are expected to follow in the coming weeks.

Müller, who joined Bayern’s youth setup in 2000 and made his debut in 2008, has become an iconic figure for the club. He has made over 740 appearances, scoring 247 goals and providing a remarkable 273 assists.

His trophy cabinet boasts a record twelve Bundesliga titles, six DFB-Pokals, two Champions League crowns, and numerous other honors.

Despite his legendary status and continued desire to play, Bayern Munich’s hierarchy appears ready to move in a different direction.

This decision will undoubtedly mark the end of an era at the Allianz Arena, leaving fans to reflect on Müller’s immense contribution to the club’s success.

The 35-year-old may now consider options to continue his playing career elsewhere, with potential moves to MLS in the United States having been mentioned.

Bayern Munich are reportedly open to discussing a future role for Müller within the club after his playing career concludes.
