QatarEnergy has announced a 25-year condensate supply agreement with Shell, under which up to 285 million barrels will be supplied to Shell over the term starting July 2025. The deal was signed by Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, QatarEnergy’s CEO, and Wael Sawan, Shell’s CEO. The agreement was made with Shell’s subsidiary, Shell International Eastern Trading Company (SIETCO).

Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi expressed his satisfaction at signing QatarEnergy’s first 25-year condensate sales agreement, marking the largest and longest of its kind. He emphasized the importance of the deal with Shell, a strategic partner, following a recent 20-year naphtha agreement. Al-Kaabi noted that such long-term agreements provide stability and added value. Shell’s CEO, Wael Sawan, also expressed Shell’s pleasure in the agreement, highlighting the strong strategic relationship with QatarEnergy.

QatarEnergy and Shell have numerous joint investments, including LNG projects, the Pearl GTL Plant, and other global partnerships. In February, QatarEnergy signed a 20-year helium sales agreement with China’s G-gas, marking the first direct, long-term helium supply deal from Qatar to China, with an annual supply of 100 million cubic feet.QatarEnergy’s high-purity helium will be sourced from its facilities in Ras Laffan for its 20-year helium supply agreement with G-gas.

In December, QatarEnergy and Shell signed a long-term deal to supply 3 million tons of LNG per year to China. In November 2024, QatarEnergy entered a 10-year sulfur supply agreement with OCP Nutricrops for up to 7.5 million tons of sulfur. Additionally, a 20-year naphtha supply deal with Shell was signed for up to 18 million tons of naphtha starting in 2025. QatarEnergy is a fully integrated energy corporation, covering the entire oil and gas value chain and is the world’s largest LNG provider.
