“I was wrong because I didn’t convey the importance of this match and the importance of wearing the Juventus shirt,” Motta admitted to Gianluca Di Marzio.

He took full responsibility for the team’s lackluster performance, acknowledging his failure to instill the necessary urgency and passion in his players.

Motta went on to express his desire for stronger criticism, stating, “I hope the criticism is strong, the fans have been too kind to us.”

He felt the team’s performance warranted a more severe reaction from the supporters, indicating his own deep disappointment.

“We got one thing wrong that in this club you can’t go wrong: the attitude. This is unacceptable. We have to apologise to the fans, apologise to the club and the history of Juventus, because we really hit rock bottom,” Motta concluded.

His words convey a sense of deep regret and a recognition of the gravity of the team’s failure, emphasizing the importance of upholding the standards and traditions of Juventus.
