Shell is reshuffling its executive committee as Zoe Yujnovich steps down as Integrated Gas and Upstream Director at the end of March. Cederic Cremers will lead integrated gas, and Peter Costello will head upstream, both joining the executive committee.

The changes take effect on April 1, shortly after Shell’s strategy update on March 25. CEO Wael Sawan praised Yujnovich’s contributions.Shell continues its executive reshuffle as Cederic Cremers and Peter Costello take on leadership roles in integrated gas and upstream.

Cremers, with Shell since 2002, previously led LNG, while Costello, who joined via the BG Group merger, headed conventional oil and gas. This marks the second committee change in 2024, following Andrew Smith’s January promotion to lead trading and supply.

Machteld de Haan is also set to join as head of downstream, renewables, and energy solutions.Smith and de Haan’s titles will be changed to “president” instead of “director,” aligning with all executive committee roles. Functional leaders will continue to be designated as “chief officer” of their respective areas.
