“Football is unpredictable: it offers us great joys, but also painful moments. I feel immense frustration,” Hernandez stated.

He acknowledged the significant impact of his dismissal, saying, “I apologise to my teammates for leaving them with 10 men and I apologise to the fans who always support us.”

The red card, received during the match played in Milan, proved costly, leaving Milan with a numerical disadvantage that Feyenoord capitalized on to secure their passage.

Despite the painful exit from the Champions League, Hernandez emphasized the unity within the club. “But this club is a family and together we will recover.

Let’s all get up together. Me first. Forza Milan!” he concluded, demonstrating his commitment to the team and his determination to learn from the incident.

His apology, released from Milan, highlights the emotional rollercoaster of football, the weight of responsibility in crucial matches, and the importance of accountability within a team, especially after a disappointing result that ended their Champions League hopes.
