Aramco joins The Open Group as a Platinum Member.

Aramco is now a Platinum Member of The Open Group, gaining a leadership role and board representation.Aramco joined in 2016 via the Open Process Automation Forum, later contributing to the O-PAS Test Bed.

In 2020, it joined the OSDU Forum to help develop energy technologies.Steve Nunn, CEO of The Open Group, said it’s gratifying that Aramco sees such value in their membership.

He emphasized their shared vision of open standards driving industry transformation and welcomed Aramco’s leadership role.Rashed Alyami, Aramco’s Digital Platforms and Architecture Design Manager, emphasized the importance of collaboration in every industry. He noted that The Open Group fosters partnerships among like-minded organizations, enabling impactful initiatives in technology since Aramco joined nearly a decade ago.

The Open Group stated that platinum membership allows organizations to shape global industry standards and certifications, giving them significant influence over strategy and impact across industries.
