NNPCL GCEO, Mele Kyari, announced the Federal Government’s commitment to the Gas-to-Power initiative at the groundbreaking of five mini-LNG plants in Ajaokuta, Kogi.

Kyari highlighted the projects’ role in economic growth, gas commercialization, and supporting the Federal Government’s flare-down initiatives.

He emphasized that the mini-LNG facilities would enable efficient gas transportation, providing cleaner, cheaper energy to households, industries, and businesses, especially in areas lacking pipeline infrastructure.

He credited President Bola Tinubu’s support for NNPCL’s strides in gas and upstream projects, aimed at driving industrialization and energy security.Governor Ahmed Ododo of Kogi praised the federal government’s decision to site the plants in the state, calling it a significant step toward energy security and economic growth.
