Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, from N865 to N835 per litre. The new pricing takes effect from Wednesday, April 16, 2025, and represents the second price cut within a week.

According to Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, the revised petrol price will be available at all affiliated retail outlets, including MRS, AP (Ardova), Heyden, Optima Energy, Hyde, and Techno Oil.At these partner stations, petrol will be sold at N890 per litre in Lagos, down from N920. In the South-West region, the price has been adjusted to N900 per litre from the previous N930.

For the North-West and North-Central zones, the new price is N910 per litre, reduced from N940. Meanwhile, in the South-East, South-South, and North-East regions, petrol will now be sold at N920 per litre, down from N950.Chiejina emphasized that the price adjustments reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality fuel at affordable prices, ultimately enhancing value for consumers nationwide.

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reaffirmed its commitment to lowering fuel costs, announcing ongoing collaboration with partners to ensure the latest petrol price reduction is fairly implemented. The refinery has consistently reduced prices of petrol and other products like diesel and LPG, including two cuts in February totaling N125.

It expects the current petrol price cut to positively impact various sectors and offer economic relief, especially during the Easter season. The refinery also assured a steady supply of high-quality products to meet domestic demand and support exports. The strategy aims to stabilize the domestic market and boost Nigeria’s foreign exchange reserves.

Dangote Refinery also urges industry stakeholders to source products directly from the refinery to ensure nationwide impact of the price reductions.
