Newcastle, England – Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe will be absent from the touchline for tomorrow’s Premier League match against Manchester United after being admitted to hospital overnight due to illness.

The club released a statement confirming the news, stating that Howe had been feeling unwell for a number of days and was taken to hospital late on Friday night for further tests, which are ongoing.

The statement added: “He is conscious and talking with his family, and is continuing to receive expert medical care.”

Assistant head coaches Jason Tindall and Graeme Jones will take charge of the team for the crucial fixture against Manchester United at St. James’ Park.

Newcastle United concluded their statement by saying: “Everyone at Newcastle United extends their best wishes to Eddie for a speedy recovery, and further updates will follow in due course.”

This news comes as a setback for Newcastle as they prepare for a significant match in their pursuit of European qualification. The thoughts of everyone at the club and their supporters will be with Eddie Howe, wishing him a swift and full recovery.
