
Dangote Petroleum Refinery has begun exporting refined petroleum products, including aviation fuel, naphtha, PMS, and automotive gas oil, to markets in Africa, Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
This was announced by Mr. Ayirioritse Okerentie at the 36th Enugu International Trade Fair.The Director announced that Dangote Petrochemical Complex has started producing polypropylene, vital for industries like textiles, plastics, furniture, and pharmaceuticals.
This local production will support Nigeria’s industrial growth.Okerentie also shared Dangote’s contributions to national infrastructure, including the reconstruction of key roads like the Obajana-Kabba Road and the Apapa-Oshodi-Oworonshoki Expressway in Lagos.Okerentie highlighted Dangote’s efforts in reconstructing the Ibeju-Lekki Expressway with concrete for long-term durability.
He reaffirmed Dangote Sugar’s commitment to ending raw sugar imports through its Sugar Backward Integration Programme and noted ongoing agricultural investments aimed at boosting food security and introducing new products to the market.
MAN’s Director-General, Segun Ajayi-Kadir, said Dangote refinery’s polypropylene production could revive Nigeria’s textile industry, making the country a net exporter and easing foreign exchange pressure.
