PETROAN President Billy Gillis-Harry stated that Dangote’s petrol sales in dollars have not begun, and depot prices remain unchanged.Speaking on Arise TV, he confirmed PETROAN members are still purchasing in Naira and have not been formally informed of any changes.

While Dangote seeks stability for his refinery, there is no confirmation of dollar transactions yet.On March 19, Dangote announced a temporary halt to petrol sales in Naira, citing a mismatch between sales proceeds and crude purchases in dollars.

Despite meetings, no agreement has been reached.PETROAN President Gillis-Harry reaffirmed support for selling Nigerian crude in Naira, urging a full stakeholder review before any policy change.PETROAN President Gillis-Harry urged that Dangote’s pricing decision be reviewed by the Petroleum Industry Stakeholder Forum, led by the Petroleum Minister.The organization noted that fuel prices will keep fluctuating based on factors like production, delivery, and landing costs, making price stability uncertain.

PETROAN President Gillis-Harry urged Nigerians not to panic buy, assuring that there is no imminent fuel scarcity. He emphasized that PMS prices will fluctuate based on production and landing costs.He also noted that price instability is hurting retailers’ income, purchasing power, and investment capital, potentially driving increased fuel imports.
