Newcastle, England – Newcastle United have reportedly placed Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah on their shortlist for a centre-back acquisition in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to a report from Mark Hardy.

While there have been no formal contacts or discussions between the clubs or the player’s representatives at this stage, Quansah is understood to be a name under consideration as Newcastle look to bolster their defensive options.

Another defender appreciated by Newcastle is Dean Huijsen, currently on loan at Bournemouth from Juventus.

However, the club reportedly believes that securing a deal for Huijsen may prove to be difficult.

The inclusion of Quansah on Newcastle’s shortlist suggests that manager Eddie Howe is looking to add young, promising talent to his defensive line.

Quansah has impressed in his appearances for Liverpool, and his potential availability could make him an attractive target for several clubs.
