NNPCL fosters sustainability in Niger Delta.

NNPCL has reaffirmed its commitment to using Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) funds for meaningful development in host communities. During a stakeholder meeting with the KEFFESO Host Communities Development Trust in Bayelsa State, NNPCL’s Chief Upstream Investment Officer, Engr. Seyi Omotowa, emphasized that funds will be directed toward essential projects in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.Engr. Omotowa, represented by Mrs. Edith Lawson, highlighted the need for stakeholder collaboration for sustainable development.

Minister Heineken Lokpobiri praised the NNPC LTD/FIRST E&P JV partnership and urged community leaders to maintain peace, ensuring effective use of the 3% Host Community Fund under the PIA.NUPRC’s Captain John Tonlagha hailed the community development trust as a milestone for governance and transparency in Nigeria’s petroleum sector.

NCDMB’s Felix Omatsola Ogbe praised KEFFESO HCDT’s efforts and NUPRC’s incorporation of over 100 HCDTs for regional growth.FIRST E&P’s Ademola Adeyemi-Bero praised KEFFESO HCDT as a model for collaboration and accountability.

Chairman Moses Theophilus commended NNPC Ltd/FIRST E&P JV for ensuring community benefits under the PIA. The forum emphasized sustained partnerships, peace, and commitment to development.
