PETROAN expects lower transport fares after NNPCL and Dangote refinery reduced petrol’s ex-depot price. The association praised NNPC Retail Ltd for cutting petrol prices from ₦920 to ₦875 per liter, easing Nigerians’ financial burden. PETROAN President Dr. Billy Gillis Harry called it a crucial relief amid rising inflation, anticipating a positive impact on transport costs.

PETROAN expects lower PMS prices to cut transport and food costs. Its president praised Dangote Refinery for refunding ₦65 per liter to retailers after reducing its gantry price from ₦890 to ₦825. Over 200,000 metric tonnes of PMS qualify for the refund.

Dangote absorbed a ₦16 billion loss to fund refunds, showing its commitment to fair pricing and consumer welfare. Retailers who bought PMS at higher rates will benefit, easing their losses. PETROAN President Dr. Gillis-Harry praised the initiative and urged Nigerians to stay optimistic as government reforms take effect.
