A fire broke out at Rosneft’s Ufa refinery in Bashkortostan early Monday, reportedly after “technological processes.” It was extinguished by 9:40 a.m., with no major impact on operations. Local media noted drone noises before the blaze.

The 150,000-barrel-a-day plant mainly supplies gasoline domestically and exports diesel.Ukraine has intensified attacks on Russian energy infrastructure, targeting refineries and pipelines to disrupt Moscow’s oil and gas industry and limit fuel supplies to its military.

Drones have twice struck the Russkaya compressor station, the entry point for the TurkStream gas pipeline, with the latest attack on Feb. 28. Despite this, the pipeline remains operational, continuing as Russia’s sole gas link to Europe.

Meanwhile, Russian forces continue striking Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, including its power grid, even as the Kremlin holds talks with the U.S. on potential war resolution.
