NNPC dismisses viral video claiming its fuel lacks durability, calling it false and baseless. The company assures its fuel meets high standards for efficiency and sustainability. It adds that most PMS sold at its Lagos stations comes from Dangote Refinery, which meets strict industry standards.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd has strongly condemned a viral video spreading false claims about the durability of its fuel. The company described the video as a deliberate attempt by economic saboteurs to misinform the public and damage its reputation.

According to NNPC Ltd, the accusations are entirely baseless, stemming from unverified research without professional oversight.NNPC Ltd reaffirmed that its fuel is carefully formulated with high-quality components to ensure optimal efficiency, durability, and environmental sustainability. The company highlighted that a significant portion of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) sold at NNPC retail stations in Lagos—where the misleading video originated—is sourced from the Dangote Refinery.

The refinery, a key partner in promoting local production and energy security, adheres to strict industry standards, ensuring the highest quality of petroleum products for consumers.In response to the video, NNPC Ltd declared that it would no longer tolerate the spread of falsehoods aimed at undermining its operations and misleading the public.

The company announced its intention to take firm legal action against individuals or groups responsible for spreading misinformation, emphasizing that those engaged in such malicious activities would be held fully accountable under the law.

Furthermore, NNPC Ltd urged Nigerians to disregard the fabricated claims in the video and rely on verified sources for accurate information.
