The EU seeks a partnership with Geometric Power to advance renewable energy in Nigeria.During a visit to the Aba plant on February 13, 2025, EU Head of Cooperation, Mr. Bassimo Deluca, expressed interest in collaborating on sustainable power solutions.Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, praised Geometric Power for providing stable electricity to businesses and residents.

Abia Commissioner for Power, Engr. Ikechukwu Monday, commended Aba Power’s service and hinted at government support for prepaid metering.Aba Power MD, Barr. Ugochukwu Opiegbe, thanked the state government for ensuring gas supply to the Aba IPP.

Aba Power MD, Barr. Ugochukwu Opiegbe, expressed plans to expand into cleaner energy sources like solar and biofuels.Aaron Uzodike, Chair of the Abia House Committee on Power, praised the governor’s infrastructure efforts and welcomed the EU’s interest in Abia’s progress.

Engr. Ben Caven, MD of GPAL, led the EU team and state officials on a tour of the power plant.The visit highlights Geometric Power’s role as a model for private-sector-driven power solutions in Nigeria.
