Mucave stressed that oil and gas investment is key to ending poverty and driving Mozambique’s growth while addressing climate challenges.AEC Chairman NJ Ayuk called for public-private collaboration, local content prioritization, and strong global partnerships.

He urged Mozambique to resist anti-fossil fuel narratives, emphasizing full resource utilization for national empowerment.

At the event, Milton Macuacua Zibane, Administrator of Mozambique’s Petroleum Regulator, highlighted the country’s commitment to accelerating the execution of more than $15 billion in planned oil and gas projects.

He emphasized that these efforts are aimed at creating employment opportunities for local communities while driving broader economic growth and development.

By fast-tracking these projects, Mozambique seeks to maximize the benefits of its natural resources, ensuring that the oil and gas sector contributes significantly to the nation’s long-term prosperity.
