Chelsea’s injury woes continue to mount, with manager Enzo Maresca delivering a mixed bag of news regarding the fitness of several key players.

The most concerning update is the official confirmation that striker Nicolas Jackson will be sidelined for 6-8 weeks with an injury.

Chelsea's Injury Crisis Deepens: Jackson Out, Guiu Injured, Fofana Nearing Return

Maresca confirmed the news, stating that Jackson “is not gonna be available until the end of the international break.”

This extended absence is a significant blow to Chelsea’s attacking options.

Adding to the list of concerns, Maresca also revealed that young forward Marc Guiu has suffered a hamstring injury and “will be out for a while.”

The severity of Guiu’s injury is not yet known, but any time on the sidelines is unwelcome news for the club.

However, there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon.

Maresca offered a positive update on defender Wesley Fofana, stating that he “has started working with us” and “could be ready in 2/3 weeks.”

Fofana’s return would be a welcome boost to Chelsea’s defense, which has been stretched thin by injuries.

Maresca also provided updates on the progress of Roméo Lavia and Benoît Badiashile, confirming that both players “are in the process to return.”

While he didn’t give specific timelines, the fact that they are on the road to recovery is encouraging.

The combination of Jackson’s long-term absence and Guiu’s injury leaves Maresca with limited options upfront.

The return of Fofana, and eventually Lavia and Badiashile, will provide some much-needed relief, but Chelsea face a challenging period as they navigate a busy schedule with a depleted squad.

Chelsea fans will be hoping for swift recoveries for all the injured players and that no further setbacks occur.

The coming weeks will be a test of Maresca’s tactical flexibility and the squad’s resilience.
