PETROAN supports growing domestic crude refining for supply stability and affordability.While imports remain legal, the group urges fair competition in the downstream sector, ensuring equal opportunities for local refiners, importers, depot owners, and retailers.

President Billy Gillis-Harry told Channels TV that oil marketers prioritize product availability and affordability, regardless of origin.PETROAN insists on availability, affordability, and market fairness, as outlined in the PIA. President Billy Gillis-Harry opposes monopolies, urging open competition.He emphasized that importation isn’t a crime but supports prioritizing local refining for economic growth.

Gillis-Harry dismissed fears of monopoly by Dangote or others, advocating for a balanced value chain to meet Nigerians’ needs.Gillis-Harry said PETROAN lifts fuel from all available, fairly priced sources without bias.

He highlighted PETROAN’s long-term agreement with NNPC and its business ties with Dangote Refinery and MRS, ensuring steady product supply.
