Olympique de Marseille and Stade Rennais have reached an agreement on a player swap deal that will see Amine Gouiri move to the south of France, while Lilian Brassier will join Rennes.

Gouiri, the talented attacking midfielder, will join Marseille for a fee slightly exceeding €20 million, with potential add-ons included.

In a unique arrangement, Rennes will acquire Brassier on a loan deal with an obligation to buy. The fee for Brassier is expected to exceed €10 million, making this a significant transfer for both clubs.

This deal represents a significant coup for Marseille, who are bolstering their attacking options with the acquisition of the talented Gouiri.

Rennes, meanwhile, will be looking to integrate Brassier into their squad and strengthen their defensive line.

The transfer window in Ligue 1 has been particularly active, and this deal between Marseille and Rennes further highlights the competitive nature of the French top flight.

Both clubs will be eager to see their respective acquisitions contribute to their success in the upcoming season.
