The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the shortlist for the prestigious National Team of the Year (Men) award for the 2024 CAF Awards.

Five African football powerhouses have made it to the final stage, each with a strong claim to the title.

The Contenders:

 Nigeria:

   * A consistent performer on the African continent, Nigeria has consistently qualified for major tournaments and often reaches the latter stages.

Côte d’Ivoire:

Sudan:
