Saka, who had been in impressive form this season, limped off in the second half, while Rice, who had played through a broken toe in the previous match against Newcastle, was also unable to complete the game.

Arteta expressed concern about the severity of the injuries, stating that “they don’t look very good.”

The manager revealed that both players had requested substitutions due to discomfort.

With England’s upcoming Nations League fixtures, the injuries to Saka and Rice could have implications for Lee Carsley’s squad.

The Three Lions will be hoping for a speedy recovery for both players.
